Subject: Fabrication and Material Authorization Terms
Please ensure this information is forwarded to the appropriate personnel in your organization.
Effective with schedules generated after February 1, 2000, all GHSP Plants will be issuing fabrication and material authorizations of three weeks and five weeks. This is a reduction from our current authorizations of four and eight weeks respectfully. We will continue to supply longer range planning and forecast information.
These changes are necessary to handle the flexibility required to manage our customer's schedules and minimize our lead-time and throughput times. These authorizations continue to be in excess of those supplied to GHSP by our customer base.
Please address any requests for deviations to this change to your GHSP buyer.
