GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (August 20, 2018) – GHSP, a global supplier in the automotive and high-end appliance industries, today announced the company’s expansion into 7,000 square feet of office space in downtown Grand Haven that underscores the company’s rapid growth this decade.
Las Vegas, Jan. 09, 2018 – GHSP plans to debut two new prototype shift systems at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that feature cutting edge technology and innovation. The Multifunction Control Shifter moves far beyond shifting by allowing the driver to move through other features in the automobile, while the Haptics Shifter provides a unique, gesture-based experience. These products will be on display January 9-January 12 in the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall Booth #3004.
(August 2014) Earlier this year I read a news article about Odyssey Marine Exploration Inc.’s renewed efforts to retrieve additional gold from a U.S. shipwreck known as the “Ship of Gold.” This reminded me of former GHSP President Jerry Scott’s vision for collaborative thinking and our annual theme of Problem Solving and Innovation. Many new employees have not heard the story behind Ship of Gold, a term we use at GHSP. In support of our value of Stewarding the Legacy, I asked Jerry if he would be willing to share his thoughts with all of us. Enjoy!
During a ceremony held June 19 at the GHSP facility in Hart, Michigan, Honda Quality Manager Cory Jarrett presented the award and honored GHSP employees for their hard work and dedication to quality.
The award is given out annually by Honda for top performance. According to Honda, of the 652 domestic OEM suppliers shipping parts to Honda’s 14 major manufacturing facilities in 2013, only 65 OEM suppliers in North America earned top recognition for their excellence. Of those honored, GHSP was one of 17 OEM suppliers to excel in more than one category and one of just 10 suppliers to earn a Double Award for excellence in On-Time Delivery and Quality. While GHSP has been recognized by Honda before, this is its first Double Award.
GHSP, a JSJ business, announced that Jeff Smith has been
promoted to president of GHSP, and Ken Wagner has been promoted to senior vice-president and chief financial
officer. The changes were effective February 6.
Davy Ou, General Manager of GHSP China and several volunteers went to Qingpu Senior High School again.
GHSP’s volunteers were warmly welcomed by the school leaders and the students. A teacher told us that two of the students who accepted our scholarship awards previous years had already graduated from high school and admit to university in Sep,2012. The two students asked their teachers to convey their thankfulness to GHSP Company and staff. And we added another two students in our scholarship awards name list this time. We sit around a table, talking the courses and homework, their target universities and interesting majors. After that, each student received a special love gift—the scholarship (CNY 2,000 for each) and two books which named 《Positive Energy 》《 seven habits of excellent Teenagers 》. Meanwhile, Davy encouraged them to work hard and try their best to help others and do good to the society in the further. They were so much grateful for the sponsor of GHSP and the wishes of the all GHSP staff.
GHSP believes in contributing to the communities in which they do business. This theme is consistently demonstrated by the company, and with the assistance of their customers and employees, this global organization most recently donated over $43,000 along with books and food items to the three organizations in need. The efforts by GHSP facilities, located in various regions around the world are spelled out below.
GHSP gives thanks to the men and women serving our country in harms way – their mission is ultimately the mission of Christmas - to bring peace to our world. To show this support, GHSP generated almost 200 Christmas cards signed by company employees, which will be sent to troops in Afghanistan. They will be received by the 507th Engineering Battalion out of Grand Rapids/Wyoming, Michigan.
